The E-Gamergirls

This has been a super long day. I started off with a meeting with the bosses, then the GMs and as finale - a meeting with the E-Gamergirls.


I met the E-Gamergirls during Ex-GM Amethy's last week in E-Games. This was during the time she was transferring most of her tasks to me and preparing me for my new assignment which is to be the new Head of Community Management of E-Games and X-Play.


The girls were awesome. One of them was even a former guildmate of mine in an all-girl guild from another game a long time ago. (Ahh~ memories.)

Anyway, these girls are super dooper active in all E-Games titles. They are guild leaders, club masters and oh man... can they shout!. (Unlimited megaphone? LOL)

And that's not all. Super naaasahan sila and full support with our on-ground activities!


On April 4, the E-Gamergirls are opening their doors to other female gamers out there. Punta na sa booth nila and register! Being an E-Gamergirl is super fun! Sali na kayo! ^_^

Finding a Good Heart

People probably know about this ZX Online event we GMs/CMs like to call "Achi and Anya" event. Achi means big sister while Anya means big brother. But since we did not technically announce this title to people, ZX players call it the "Helping Hand" event. Some even call it the "Good Samaritan" event.

Whatever the name may be, the important part is the objective of this event which is to encourage our higher level ZX players to help out newbies. Why?

1. There are many newbies and only a few GMs.
2. It helps foster community spirit
3. It makes leveling fun
4. High level players love the challenge
and
5. It makes our job easier

During the past weeks of doing this event, we noticed that there are indeed A LOT of high level players who'd help any newbie in order to get their hands on the whopping 500 gold ingots that're up for grabs.

Awhile ago, during our meeting, I suggested that we start doing things differently. I decided to disguise myself as a newb without the announcement.

As soon as I got in Channel 8, I found myself in Heyang City. And right there and then, for some miracle, a ZX player named Andrew0 came by and offered to help.


I must admit I was pretty doubtful at first. Why would a ZX player start helping me without an announcement? I asked the other GMs if they announced anything and they all said no. There was definitely no announcement.


I interrogated him some more. Asked him about his clan (Elite), where he's from (Bulacan), how old he is (25) and about his class, how to become one, etc etc. Amazed by his patience, I tried being an annoying newb. It still didn't work.

He taught me the value of quests and when I got over that, he carried me to a high level map and leeched me. That was pretty impressive.

After 5 hours (seriously. 5 hours.) of chatting, trying not to run into aggressive monsters and just following him around, I finally decided that this guy needs to be rewarded.

I logged into my GM account and announced it.


And his reaction?

Masarap pala ang Century Bangus!

Ok so eto ang kuento. Ngayong hapon lang, nag-uusap usap ang mga GMs na uber gutom na. Pinag iisipan namin kung kami ay kakain sa Hungry Hippo o sa Tapa King. Sa totoo lang, medyo nakakasawa na rin ang pagkain doon dahil parang medyo hindi na healthy.

Nagulat nalang kami nang biglang lumitaw ang mga Century Bangus fairies sa office pantry namin!



Waaaaa~! At pinakain nila kami ng bagong bago at masarap na masarap na Century Bangus Fillet Spanish Style at Tausi!



Sa sobrang sarap, nakarami talaga ako! (Takaw ko no?)



At eto pa ang malufet! Si GM Asuerio at GM Cerberus, kumuha na ng kanya-kanyang pinggan at humingi kina fairies ng bigger servings! Ganyan talaga kasarap!



Kaya sana subukan nyo rin! Feeling ko matitikman nyo ito pagdating ng Domination 3 kasi sponsor pala namin ito! Haha~! Weeee!

GM!!! CGM? TGM!? Waaa~

My second post (jaran!) will discuss the difference between a CGM and a TGM. Why the need for such a post? It's because a lot of players I got to talk to in the game doesn't seem to not know the difference. Dito nyo ito malalaman kaya makinig! (Este... magbasa.)

Ang GM o Game Master ay isang empleyado ng gaming company na umaasikaso sa mga pangangailangan ng mga gamers. Mayroon pong 2 klase ng GM. Ang: TGM o Technical Game Master at and CGM o ang Community Game Master.

Bagama't pareho po silang GM ay iba po ang trabaho nila at authority. See below for a few samples of what they do everyday:

TGM - Reports to the Game Operations Manager
1. Banning (oooh katakot no?)
2. Testing bugs
3. Testing new game features
4. Item insertion (GM enge itamz! <-- Bawal)
5. Account investigation and editing (powerful!)

CGM - Reports to the Community Manager
1. Talking to gamers in-game and fezz to fezz
2. In-game event proposal and implementation
3. Forum administration and Forum moderator management
4. On-ground event implementation
5. Promotion of new game features

Ang mga TGM po ay nakatago sa loob ng isang room sa loob ng company at hindi ipinapakita sa mga players. Bakit? Kasi po yun po ay tawag lang ng tungkulin. Mahirap po ipakita sa mga players ang mukha mo lalo na pag alam nila ang kaya mong gawin.



While ang mga CGM naman po ang fezz ng TGMs kaya pag pupunta kayo ng office o sa events, sila po ang haharap sa inyo. Lagi silang naka-smile, masayahin at super magalang po sila.

Hayan... Malinaw po ba? ^_^

Now you're probably thinking... Ahh... TGMs pala dapat ang kausapin about my account. Sila po ang sumasagot sa mga tickets nyo pag nagsa-submit kayo sa Helpdesk. That's your fastest way to a TGM and nowhere else. Kaya pag sinabi po ng CGM na "Sir, file po kayo ng ticket." <-- Seryoso po sila dyan na yun lang po ang tanging paraan. ^_^ Now you know. And knowing is half the battle. G.I. Joeeeeeee~!

First Post!

Hello to one and all! (naks!)

I should probably start with an introduction of myself.

I'm Head CM Ching. Medyo kakaiba no? Kasi hindi ako GM at hindi rin ako CM. Eh ano nga ba ako? o_o Usually, ang sagot ko - Head Cm po~ Pero di nage-gets ng mga tao. So sasabihin ko. "GM po." At sila naman ay biglang liliwanag ang mukha at mapapa-nod "Aaahhh... GM."

Actually, dati po akong PM sa E-Games. Tahimik ang buhay ng pagiging PM. Masaya... kumukutikutitap na parang commercial ng toothpaste. Kaso nga lang, biglang nagkasakit si Amethy at ako ay naatasang pumalit sa kanya habang sya ay nagpapahinga. Pass the torch ba? Medyo mabilis ang pangyayari. Anyway, tinanggap ko naman dahil nakakatuwa na ako agad ang naisip nila na karapat-dapat na humalili (lalim no?) kay Amethy.

Sa totoo lang po, medyo nakaka-conscious itong bagong work na ibinigay nila. I feel that it's just so hard to fill Amethy's shoes at hindi ito dahil malaki ang paa nya kundi dahil kasi love na love sya ng mga E-Gamers! At di lang yan. Ang sexy sexy pa nya! Waaaa~ Eh ang taba kuuu~ T_T

So far so good naman po. Nakilala ko na ang mga E-Gamergirls... Nakapag event na rin po ang sa kung saan saan at napansin kong napakabait pala at kwela ng mga E-Gamers!

Unti-unti nang nawawala ang aking kaba dahil super warm ng pagtanggap nila sa akin. :P Homaygasss~ Kakatuwaaaa~
